IRAQI SECURITY FORCES ISF

Information Dissemination Operations (IDO)

The US Army and coalition forces introduced Iraqi Security Forces firstly to Media Operations / Public Affairs.  It soon became obvious that as coalition / US forces strated planning to depart Iraq in late 2011, that the new Iraqi Security Force apparatus (Police and Iraqie Army) would need to continue to practice military information support ops / PSYOPS activites amongst their own population.

Similar to the Afghan AIDO programme, the ISF have been training in Information Dissemination Operations (IDO) program.

Courses have been offered to the ISF but as yet no identifiable course qualification insignia has been noted. Graduates receive a certificate of attainment.
