2012/13 saw the emergence of an interesting term, the FEMALE ENGAGEMENT TEAM (FET):  as yet no insignia / patches noted.

Assigned amongst US Army Special Forces, female US Army personnel are assigned to forward operating units to deal effectively with the female Afghan population.

Iraq and Afghanistan campaigns saw the introduction of Human Terrain and Cultural Awareness Teams. The focus on sociological/anthropological factors was a direct result of the need to engage with locals, understand locals and provide effective hearts and minds.
