AFGHANISTAN
Not much is known about the PSYOPS capability of the nation of Afghanistan. What is clear is that the nation is synonymous with
the brave, robust and couragious fight against Soviet Invasion during the Raegan years of the Cold War. It now infamous for it's TALIBAN history.
This page primarily deals with the modern theatre of operations that is Afghanistan i.e. Coalition Forces invading the country to overthrow the Taliban.
The country is governed by a democractically elected government whilst security is still maintained under the auspices of NATO and it's International Security Assistance Force ISAF.
The patches and insignia reflect this fact.
THE AFGHAN NATIONAL ARMY
Coalition forces continue to train, coach and mentor the fledgling Afghan National Army. The US Army is not allowed to teach the ANA PSYOPS, However, under the Afghan Army Information Dissemination Operations programme (AIDO) ANA soldiers are taught how to dissmeinate truthful information amongst their won and civilian / tribal areas. The Coalition Forces ahve realsied that information dissemiantion is best undertaken under the auspices of ANA soldiers. AIDO graduation photos show ANA soldieras receiving an AIDO qualification insignia and freinds havings erved in A-Stan confirm that these information disseminators have cloth isnignia based upon the US Knight and crossed swords insignia. The follwoing is a representation of would these insignai look like.

2012 saw huge growth in Afghan Information Dissemination Operations - AIDO Training Program. In Jnauary 2013 AIDO had been replaced by Afghan Inform and Influence Methods training AIIM.

AIDO items now secured and 'in-collection'. With AIDO replaced by AIIM, does this mean the AIDO tab is no longer current - replaced by AIIM?
