Accion Integral

In 2017, following success 'victory' over the FARC Guerrillas Colombia's military and political admin restructured embracing a conventional military actively seeking to win the peace amongst its own peoples.

The Support Command of Integral Action and Development was born.

The CAAID 's foundation is the democratic defense against threats of an irregular nature in the national territory through operations of Support to the Defense of the Civil Authority.

2 missions are established:  Military Civil Awareness and Relationship. The materialization of these missions is evidenced by the development of activities carried out by the National Army such as: Works, conferences, campaigns and programs.

This type of initiatives seeks to strengthen the relationship of trust with the community, helping to guarantee the basic needs of affected populations. This consolidates the National Army as an important actor in the internal order of the country, through activities that generate employment, welfare and contribute to the construction of peace and legitimacy, becoming a bridge for the interaction between Institution and society; and likewise, guarantee the defense and protection of the rights and liberties for Colombians. 

According to the above, it is demonstrated that Integral Action is an essential component in the commitment to continue consolidating reconciliation in areas that were once critical points of conflict, developing investment and security programs, trust and credibility, and public and private investment. , which acts under the precept Integration, Vocation and Development.

CAAID

The Support Command of Integral Action and Development conducts the operations of Defense Support to the Civil Authority and stability, in support of the National Army units and in coordination with the State and Government institutions, in order to to generate the conditions to promote the social recovery of the territory, on the way to consolidation.   

Its creation contributes to the strengthening of the subsystem of Integral Action and Development of the National Army, establishing what the Institution would represent, the creation of Command with its two Support Brigades of Integral Action and Development, each with four Battalions; from the hand of a Special Operations Battalion of Integral Action and Development (Boaid).  

Military units whose purpose is to contribute to the defense and strengthening of the legitimacy of the Colombian Military Forces as the center of gravity of the Institution; also fulfilling the mission of conducting stability operations and defense support to the civil authority, in coordination with the State and Government institutions in order to generate the conditions to promote the social recovery of the territory.

Brigade 1

BRIDGE OF SUPPORT FOR INTEGRAL ACTION AND DEVELOPMENT N.1

Having as capabilities:

a. Develop operations of psychological action and awareness, to influence and strengthen the morale of the troops themselves, strengthen the support of the civilian population and reduce the will of the enemy to fight.

b. Promote civil and military cooperation operations, in order to generate confidence in the troops and win the support and support of the population. 

c. Establish relations with the different civil authorities and representatives of the private company in the regions and localities, in order to obtain their support for the activities of integral action.

d. Support with operations of integral action and development of the National Army in the development of international missions, in order to share other exercises, doctrine and operational capacity.

and. Promote relations with ethnic and peasant communities through the different activities of integral action in order to contribute to the strengthening of the institutional image and in support of the social consolidation of the territories.

The Support Brigade of Integral Action and Development N. 1, is created and activated with command post in the municipality of San José de Cúcuta, department of Norte de Santander, with the purpose of contributing to the strengthening of the subsystem of Integral Action of the Army National.  Likewise, the Integral Action and Development Support Battalions number 1, 2, 7 and 8 are created and activated in the operational structure of this unit; with the purpose of providing support to the first, second, seventh and eighth National Army Division.  

The Support Brigade of Integral Action and Development, will ensure that its units have the resources and advisory structures to advance in the construction of the social fabric in each of its jurisdictions, in an adequate and efficient manner to comply with this National Government's guidelines.

Brigade 2

BRIDGE OF SUPPORT FOR INTEGRAL ACTION AND DEVELOPMENT N.2

The Support Brigade of Integral Action and Development N. 2 was entrusted with the mission of developing operations of psychological action and awareness, of civil and military cooperation and of civil affairs, in support of the military operations of the Major Operative Units N. 3, 4, 5 and 6 of the National Army, in order to achieve military victory, territorial control and contribute to consolidation.
