The original horse head was changed to represent the chess horse piece shaped silhouette symbolizes the Regiment's asymmetric movement and SOPs. The lighting bolt is full electromagnetic domain use and mastery and the 28° is Regt. number (it was 28° Infantry Regt. before). The patch - originally the horse is black on a gray background, the lighting bolt is gray on a black backround and the shield contour and middle (vertical line) are white symbolizing the three colors in which propaganda can be classified (Black, gray, white).
