 BURMA  (MYANMAR)

The Military Government that currently rules Burma has (at it's top echelon of military staff) highly trained PSYOPS officials.

Numerous mentions are made of Generals who have served in the armed forces Psychological Operations Directorate.  Army units ??

Burma's military junta is officially known as the State Peace and Development Council (SPDC).

In maintaining military governance over the population it goes without saying that the Military Junta here uses extensive education and self promotion activities.

The army has rich combat experience in fighting insurgents in rough terrains, considering it has been conducting non-stop counter-insurgency operations against ethnic and political insurgents since its inception in 1948.

DPMPW = Directorate of People Militias and Psychological Warfare - reports directly to chief of staff of Army

DPRBRT = Directorate of Public Relations and Border Troops

Bureau of Special Operations (BSO)

Information Warfare School (Yangon)

Defence Services TV Broadcasting Unit

Directorate of Public Relations and Psychological Warfare of the Ministry of Defence

Capt Thein Shwe Win of Directorate of Public Relations and Psychological Warfare

PSYOPS is not only used against local population to maintain civic order but also to educate and warn against the proliferation of drug trafficking along borders with Thailand and Laos - The Golden Triangle....etc.........
